Zoo Boise

Local Boise Zoo

Among the many attractions in the Treasure Valley is Zoo Boise. This year-round zoo is a great place for families and friends to explore different species of animals. Located in the heart of Julia Davis Park in Boise, Zoo Boise is supported by the Friends of Zoo Boise. The Friends' contribution helps with improvements in the zoo, attaining more animals, educational classes, and volunteering events.

There are over 300 animals at Zoo Boise with over 100 different species. Zoo Boise is accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA). This means visitors can feel at ease knowing the animals are provided with outstanding care, living conditions, and a pledge of excellence to all living things.

On the edge of Downtown Boise, the zoo is within walking distance of local restaurants and bars. After the zoo, walk right outside for a stroll down the Boise River Greenbelt. Catch a Boise State University game just minutes over the Friendship Bridge on the Boise River
