The most popular launch site is Barber Park. There is a lot of parking because there will be a lot of people cooling off from the Boise heat. Make sure you have the proper flotation devices including a life jacket if applicable.

To get started, simply bring your floatation device or rent an inner tube from Boise River Rath & Tube Rentals. They offer rafts, tubes, and life jackets. You can see everything on the Boise River from paddleboards, kayaks, inner tubes, and inflatable mattresses, you name it!

The float can take up to 3 hours, so pack a hat. You can bring your dog, but the water can be cold for smaller dogs. Relax as you drift through some of Boise’s historic neighborhoods including Spring Meadow, Warm Springs Mesa, Bown Crossing, and Harris Ranch. These are some of Boise’s most stunning waterfront homes. Additionally, you will float by Warm Springs Golf Course and Boise State University where you’ll most likely see people jumping off the bridges or swinging from rope swings. You pass through Downtown Boise on your way to the pull-out area.

There are many spots to get off the river, but the most used spot is Ann Morrison Park. There is a shuttle service that runs from Barber Park to Ann Morrison, for free. You have the option to park two cars, one at the beginning and one at the end, and handle transport on your own, or you can park one car at the beginning and let the shuttle do all the work.
